A Tale by CRG

The story of the Viking ambush and burial that happened in a small wood on the New Road in Northrepps. Alexandra Walker said back in May 2020 - I was told the story back in the 1970s by Christopher Gurney.

Eddie Anderson replied

Grave Hole was actually Gravel Hole - a gravel pit.

Which somewhat spoils good spooky tale of warriors buried there after a ferocious battle... but as it was my sister Alex asking the questions - she ought to know better. Our Great Uncle Christopher Gurney was full of unlikely tall stories!
